Ming

Ming grew up as the second and youngest child of a comfortably well-off family of physicians. She was never really left wanting for anything as a child and was given opportunities and education that most other girls would never be able to have. She was neither spoiled nor neglected, and was given the same amount of love that her elder brother had.

When Ming was old enough to follow her brother to a teaching session, she quickly fell in love with learning. The speed and enthusiasm she showed in her studies earned her the affectionate nickname ‘Little Miss Scholar’.

And when Ming was older, she would accompany her father as frequently as possible to his appointments, studying the way he worked and how he interacted with patients. There, she learnt that a good physician strives for the well-being of the people, treating all with equal kindness and compassion. Above all else, they must embody the truth that all people are equal.

When she reached a marriageable age, Ming was given the privilege of choosing her path by her parents. She chose to follow her father and brother’s path and made it her ambition to be a titled physician, which would grant her the ability to maintain authority no matter where she went.

She fought the men through words and mostly harmless pranks when she took further studies into medicine. She stayed up countless nights to understand complex illnesses and even more complicated formulas to make medicinal pills.

By twenty-seven, Ming finally made it to her goal of being a titled physician and celebrated with her family. She could not only help people in her city, she can also help others in need where there are no physicians nearby. Her heart burned with passion; she truly wanted to help as many as she could.
